Urban League of Rochester enables African-Americans, Latinos, the poor and other disadvantaged to secure economic self-reliance, parity and power, and civil rights.

“My mentor has been there for me, spent time with me. I can tell her about anything — college situations, personal situations. She taught me to keep going and never give up. When everything seems like it’s not going to work out, she just taught me to have more faith in my myself.”

“Working with the Urban League has been a blessing to me. The EISEP Program has provided me with housekeeping and the Star Transportation program — taking me to and from appointments, grocery shopping, and other opportunities. It just makes everything so much easier.”

Advocacy For A Better Future

OUR VISION

As we look to the future of the Urban League of Rochester, we recognize that there is still much work to be done to reach a level of equity across all races, genders, and other demographics in our community. Our collective vision is to work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive Rochester by exploring new economic development opportunities, increasing access to education and employment opportunities, and partnering with our stakeholders to advance the Urban League Movement. We look forward to create lasting change for our community.
