We are thrilled to consider Connors & Ferris as a prominent partner with the Urban League of Rochester this year. We know high school athletics is a deep passion of yours, so we’d love to highlight some events we’re hosting that cater to that audience.

This year marks 45 years of our Black Scholars program. As such, we’ve created a Homecoming Weekend to celebrate with three events happening and a unique opportunity for Connors & Ferris to insert itself into all of them.

EARLY RECOGNITION CELEBRATION
Friday, May 31 | St. John Fisher University’s Ralph C Wilson Athletic Center
We’re hosting a celebration for all 9th-11th grade students within our nine-county region who are on the path to becoming Black Scholars. There will be food, fun and community partners in attendance to keep them motivated and looking ahead to future academic success!

DISTINGUISHED CHEFS COOK-OFF
Sunday, June 2 | The Commissary & Mercantile on Main
It’s the long-awaited return of our ever-popular, food-tasting event. Come enjoy food samplings from dozens of chefs across our area. We’ll have some special guest chefs and plenty of food and drink to enjoy!

45TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO BLACK SCHOLARS CEREMONY
Monday, June 3 | RIT’s Gordon Field House
We’re celebrating 45 years of Black Scholars this year and welcoming this year’s graduates to our family (congrats to Luke!). Students, families, alumni and the Rochester community will gather to recognize our young scholars, award a whole lot of scholarship money and celebrate them as they embark on their next journey in life.
